World Congresses

The Union’s World Congresses have been held on a regular basis since 1914, when the first World Congress took place in London. The Congresses have had the aim of exploring, analysing and discussing different housing finance issues between experts in the subject, i.e. the Union’s members.

As Renu Karnad, President of the Union, said at the 27^th World Congress (2008):

“IUHF World Congresses have always ranked as an avant-garde gathering in the international housing finance industry. It has, over the years, been an ideal platform for the global mortgage fraternity to exchange ideas, thoughts and innovations, and, at the same time, share experiences and concerns.”
